Doron Gerstel

CEO & Director

Doron Gerstel joined Perion as CEO in April 2017. Serving as CEO for the last 20 years, he has established an outstanding ability to drive growth in hi-tech companies and competitive markets. In his previous role as CEO of Panaya, Doron led a turnaround to an increase in annual revenue and the company’s acquisition by Infosys. He has also held CEO positions at Nolio, Syneron and Zend Technologies. Doron holds a BSc in Economics and Management from the Technion, and an MBA from Tel Aviv University. Since May 2018 Doron also serves as a member of the Board of Directors.

Maoz Sigron

CFO

Maoz is an experienced finance executive with more than a decade of experience working with NASDAQ-listed companies. Prior to joining Perion, Maoz served as Vice President of Allot Communications, where he led the full lifecycle of M&A deals, from due diligence through the final integration phase, to re-organizational and post M&A activities. Maoz also served as Controller at Tnuva and Stratasys Ltd., where he played a key role in the Objet-Stratasys merger. Earlier in his career, Maoz served as a CPA at PwC. Maoz holds a B.A. in Accounting and Economics from the College of Management.

Yosi Botzer

CTO

Yosi has been serving as Perion’s CTO since 2020. He has 18 years of experience in internet and Big Data technologies, and previously he has served as the Chief Architect at Perion. Prior to that, Yosi served as R&D director at Amobee (acquired by Singtel) and Big Data Architect at Datorama (acquired by Salesforce). Yosi holds a BCS in Computer Science and Philosophy from Haifa University and an MBA from Tel University.

Tal Jacobson

Tal Jacobson has been an executive in the Israeli high-tech industry for over 20 years. He was the Chief Revenue Officer & Chief Business Development Officer at SimilarWeb. He also founded Monotizer, which provided technology for generating traffic to online retailers. Previously, Tal was the VP of Business at McCann Erickson. he also held the positions of CEO at the video collaboration platform Watchitoo, and Director of Business Development at AOL.

Daniel E. Aks

President Undertone

Daniel E. Aks has broad operating experience in C-level roles in the information, education, and consumer media industries. Previously, Mr. Aks served as the CEO of Antenna Audio Inc, where he led its reorganization and developed formative testing and data-driven instruction products. Previously, as the COO of Primedia Consumer Magazines, he launched and led the pioneering digital business. Mr. Aks holds two undergrad degrees from Rutgers University, and an MBA from Harvard University.

Shai Alfandary

General Manager, Paragone

Shai is a seasoned enterprise SaaS executive with over 20 years of experience in bringing products to market and developing new sources of revenue. Most recently, Shai worked as a senior leader at Marketo, where he led the company’s business development in its outstanding turnaround from a private equity held company to its acquisition by Adobe. Prior to that, Shai was the CEO of RingLead.com, and earlier he worked at Salesforce, where he defined the company’s product strategy in the collaboration category. Shai holds an MBA from UC Berkeley, and B.Sc and M.Sc in Industrial Engineering from Tel Aviv University.

Ran Cohen

Senior VP Product

Ran Cohen has over 17 years of experience leading interactive brands & developing breakthrough innovations in online advertising. He has held multiple executive roles, including co-founder & President of Legolas Media (acquired by Undertone) and VP Product & Business Development at Sizmek. Ran holds BA in economics from Hebrew University and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.

Dan Mano

General Manager, Smilebox

An entrepreneur with a big passion for product development and marketing online products. Dan brings 16 years of C-level experience from MyHeritage.com, 888.com, Reach, SWIFT SHIFT and Rocket Internet. Dan is a licensed lawyer, holds an MBA from UCLA (Entertainment Management), an MBA from London Business School with a concentration in finance, and a dual major in law and business (cum laude) from IDC Herzliya University. Dan took part in the Zell entrepreneurship program, NFX and Upwest Labs accelerators. Dan is a sought-after public speaker and appears regularly in the Israeli media.

Adi Zackai Mates

VP HR

Adi Zackai Mates brings over 12 years of global HR high-tech industry experience. Prior to joining Perion, she served as Global HR Business Partner at Amdocs for 4 years. Prior to that, she held various HR leadership roles at Comverse specializing in organizational consultation, leadership talent management, professional growth, recruitment and more. Adi holds a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences Organizational Behavior and HR, as well as an MBA in Business Administration Human Resources Management and Organizational Consulting from the College of Management.

Eliran Ben Yehuda

General Manager, Growth Hub

Eliran is an experienced business executive with more than a decade of experience working on Business Development, Marketing and Data in the hi-tech industry. Eliran is passionate about innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity. In his previous roles in Taboola as Global Head of Publishers and IL Country Manager, Eliran has established new global departments and lines of businesses from the ground up and developed new products and sources of revenue. Over the past years, Eliran also served as an Advisor to multiple leading startups such as Papaya Global, Zoey etc. Eliran is a licensed lawyer, holds an LL.B in Law and B.A. in Business Management from the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya.

Asaf Katzir

Co-founded Content IQ in 2014. Under his leadership the company has grown from a small startup to a successful business. In January 2020, Content IQ was acquired by Perion Network. Asaf holds a BA in Economics and LLB in Law from University of Haifa (graduated with distinction).

Ziv Yirmiyahu

Co-Founded Content IQ

Co-founded Content IQ in 2014 to be acquired by Perion Network in January 2020. Ziv leads the technology direction of Perion’s Publisher Solution Business Unit as well as its finance strategy. Ziv holds a BSc in Computer Science and Economics from The Hebrew University and completed studies from the PhD program in Finance at NYU.

Eyal Kaplan

Chairman of the Board

Eyal Kaplan joined Perion’s board in May 2018. He also serves as Chairman of Expand Investments, a consulting firm focusing on growth-through-innovation and corporate strategies. Prior to that, he was Managing General Partner with Walden Israel, a venture capital firm, and served as Director and Chairman of numerous portfolio companies. Mr. Kaplan holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a MA in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BSc degree (with Honors) in economics and management from the Technion.

Dror Erez

Dror Erez joined Perion’s Board of Directors in January 2014. He was the founder and CTO of Conduit, one of Israel’s largest Internet companies. Prior to founding Conduit, Dror co-founded Effective–i, a learning system that categorized, organized, and delivered information to shorten search cycles within an enterprise. Dror has extensive experience in Internet, software-as-a-service (SaaS), and cloud technologies. He holds a B.A. in Physics and Computers from Bar Ilan University.

Rami Schwartz

Rami Schwartz serves as Managing Director of The Portland Trust (Tel Aviv office), and an Advisory Board Member of Algosec. Previously, Mr. Schwartz was the President of the Amdocs Products and Amdocs Delivery groups for 7 years. Prior to joining Amdocs, he was the Chairman of Olive Software (acquired by ESW Capital), and Comply, the co-Founder and CEO of Zizio and DigiHOO, and an EIR at Cedar Fund. Mr. Schwartz was CEO and Director of Exanet (acquired by Dell) and General Manager of Precise Software (acquired by Veritas software). Rami holds a B.Sc. in excellence, in Math and Computer Science from the Hebrew University.

Ms. Sarit Firon serves as managing partner of Cerca Partners, a VC investment fund. In addition, Ms. Firon serves as chairperson of the board of myThings, and as a director at the following companies: Datorama, MediWound, and Evogene Agritech. Previously, Ms. Firon served as CEO of Extreme Reality and held several CFO positions at various tech companies including MediaMind, Kenshoo and P-Cube. She holds a B.A. in accounting and economics from Tel Aviv University.

Mike Vorhaus

Mike Vorhaus is the CEO of Vorhaus Advisors. Previously, he was the President of Magid Advisors, a leading strategic consulting firm. He also serves on the Advisory Board at Digital Media Wire Inc. Mr. Vorhaus is a frequent guest on Bloomberg TV. He previously worked for the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate and for two White House administrations. He has a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from Wesleyan University and completed the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business Management Development Program.

Joy Marcus

Director

Joy Marcus has a wealth experience in the media industry, including EVP and GM Digital Video at Condé Nast Entertainment, CEO of Bloglovin' (now Activate), SVP Global Marketing Solutions at Time Warner (now WarnerMedia), VP International at Viacom and GM North America for DailyMotion. She sits on the Boards of digital media companies Anyclip and Qwire, and the nonprofits New York Tech Alliance and Hoops4Hope. Joy is currently a full time Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at Princeton University, and is serving as a Venture Partner at VC firm JVP, focusing on digital media, advertising and consumer investments. Joy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Princeton University and has a JD from NYU Law School.
