Human Resources – Manager (Redmond, Washington)

The HR Manager position is new and will be focused on establishing and developing the human resources and recruiting functions.  This is an ideal position for an HR Manager or Generalist looking to take on more responsibility or a Recruiter with project management and some HR experience looking to cross over into an HR role.  Because this is an HR department of one in the U.S., it is important that you are comfortable working across all traditional HR areas as well as being willing to roll-up your sleeves to get your work done to make the company successful.  This position reports into the VP of HR based in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Scope and Responsibilities

You will have responsibility for building and developing HR programs, policies and practices that will help to move the company to the next level while also aligning with the overarching vision of the parent company.  In this role you will:

  • Work with the VP of HR to establish a clear organizational structure aligned with business needs and support the leadership team on managerial issues.
  • Develop an effective candidate assessment and interview framework, including manager and interviewer training, to ensure best candidate fit.
  • Drive all recruiting related activities including job description and requisition development, applicant tracking, posting, screening candidates, scheduling, developing competitive offers and closing candidates.
  • Handle employee life cycle including on-boarding, performance management, and separation.
  • Implement the parent company’s compensation plan and process.
  • Implement training policy and process by working with local managers to assess needs, research potential vendors and coordinate implementation.
  • Manage, administer and follow up on employee benefits programs.
  • Keep HR policies, documents and other items updated to current local, state & Federal laws.  Handle safety and worker’s comp issues as they arise.

  • Job description and development.
  • Recruiting to hit hiring goals.
  • Facilitating employee relations issues including performance improvement, conflict mediation and separation.
  • Handling a performance management cycle.
  • Managing HR and/or recruiting projects.
  • Managing employee benefits programs and vendors.
  • A strong ability to communicate both verbally and in written communications to many different audiences from internal to external communications, C-level to individual contributors.
  • To be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed.
  • A BA/BS required or commensurate experience, PHR or SPHR a plus.
